| Environment Minister Donna Faragher today detailed a joint Department of Environment and Conservation and Department of Planning initiative to map the coastal habitat of the endangered Carnaby's black cockatoo. The $360,000 project will help define habitat to protect the species while providing greater certainty for land developers through improved and timely information on the animal. Mrs Faragher is pictured with "Harmony" a five-year old female Carnaby's black cockatoo, hand reared after being injured by a car. |
