Freedom of Information (FOI) for Ministers of Cabinet

Freedom of Information Act

The Freedom of Information Act 1992 (FOI Act), which came into effect on 1 November 1993, created a general right of access to documents held by State and Local Government agencies (including Ministerial Offices) subject to and in accordance with this Act.

Receipt of FOI Applications

If you wish to make an FOI application (including cheque payment for the $30 application fee) or make a request for personal information (no application fee) to a Ministerial Office direct, you can use the contact details under each Cabinet Minister.

FOI applications to the Premier must be sent to the Department of the Premier and Cabinet (application form available on the DPC website).

If you wish to pay your $30 application fee electronically (non-personal information), you can complete this FOI application form and make payment via BPoint.
